The Global Media Monitoring Project (GMMP) is before all an internationally recognised research project which provides media and/or gender activists around the world with reliable data on the state of gender in the news media worldwide.

The GMMP is part of a much wider pool of research which over the past 30 years has gathered pace around representation and participation of women and men in the news media.

Here we bring you not only the impressive research that GMMP activists have produced over the past ten years but also the work of any other activists, researchers and academics that are working for the fair representation of men and women in the newsmedia.
