Which way next?
The results of the Global Media Monitoring Project (2005) show that very little has changed in the representation of women and men in the news media the world over since 1995. In news content, access, ownership and control, gender disparities have persisted. Such disparities play out in practice by influencing, supporting and reinforcing a culture of discrimination and bias on the basis of gender.
